t1x or 457, again

T1x's are amazing from what I hear.... but personal experience hold out

The CZs are impeccable in my honest opinion. The triggers break like glass, the gun is sturdy but not heavy, and they shoot like lasers. I can hit a 10 inch plate pretty easily at 100yards with factory ammo.

For aftermarket support I would say the Tikkas, but for an out of the box, indisputable gem the CZ 452 is my go to.
From what I hear the CZ 457 is not quite what the CZ 452 is. They cut corners with the trigger and internals slightly, leaving many to claim the 452 is marginally better.

I can't say from experience, but I've heard many people say this, and I would take their word that the 452 is better than the 457...

Anyways thats my two cents.

Bitruns out...

Personaly I would stay as far away from the T1x as possible. I hate the threaded barrel. I hate the plastic stock. Why do they not make wood and most of all I hate the idea of using an action long enough for a 300 WM for a 22.

Most of all you hate the idea of using similarly long actions?

T1X on left, T3X on right.

You actually own one?

Yes, if you can't hit a 10" plate at 100 yards with a rifle, you should throw it in a lake. My old CZ would shoot sub 1" groups at 100Y with Federal Automatch

Agreed! Pretty much any rimfire rifle made will hit a pie plate at 100 yards. If you said you can consistently hit a bottle cap at 100 yards, now your talking.

Overall action length is the same for the T1x and T3x

The length of the receiver is a big issue? It can't be significantly longer than many other rimfire rifles. Like some other rimfire rifles, it's in good company sharing the same footprint as some centerfire rifles.

Note that the T1X bolt lifts only 45 degrees compared to the T3X bolt's 70 degrees.

The T1X footprint is extended by a part of the action that extends under the barrel to engage with the recoil lug from the T3X.
It's almost entirely invisible because it's cut away above the line of the stock. The barrel starts much further back than on the T3X.
So no, it's not a full sized action.
My B14R on the other hand is full sized although the length of the bolt travel isn't as long.
