HSS out of Australia has come out with an aluminum bolt shroud to replace the plastic bolt shroud on our T3's.... There's a catch though, they don't come cheap. If they can do it, I imagine there has to be someone in Canada who can make these for the Canadian and American market?

Aluminum bolt shrouds should be available in early 2011. Available in black and silver for 40$ shipped.

I pulled the factory plastic one off my T3 and whipped up a rough model in Solid Edge after I saw your post. If there was enough interest I could do a run.

I have a very strong feeling that if these were reasonably priced that you would sell a lot of them, and they would sell fast.

There is very little in terms of aftermarket parts for the Tikka T3.

Flick - how much do you think it would cost?

Depends on volume. With adequate interest I'm sure I could beat the Aussies price.

Having said that, I was just brushing up on my CGN rules and regulations:

Advertisement of the nature with the intention of generating profit is not allowed at www.Canadiangunnutz.com, unless the member has a current "Dealer Membership".

So that's all I'm going to say until I've sorted things out with the site. I don't wish to fall afoul of the staff here at CGN, and I hope I haven't already overstepped my bounds.

From your post count I imagine you've developed a pretty good feel for how things work around here. In any case, I've PM'd greentips to make sure. I hope he agrees with your POV.

i would be interested in possibly two or three shrouds. machine up some trigger gaurd assemblys and i would deffinatly be on board to purchace. never broke any plastic on my tikkas yet but machined aluminium parts would sure improve the looks. look vary nice with the laminate stocks.
