i love my t3 lite s/s in 30-06 but i really like the idea of a slightly shorter model ie the battue what would i be loosing if anything at all if i traded my t3 lite of a battue

You'll be losing a few inches of barrel, and with that a few feet-per-second of velocity and, if your T3Lite had iron sights, a slightly longer sighting plane.

I am pretty sure you give up the stainless steel as well. Personally I wouldn't bother I have both and I don't notice a diffrence in the bush.

If you want a shorter barrel cut the one you have. If its the sights you want just get a smith to put some on. I have a T3 in 243 with a 20 inch tube. Was done by a smith.

I really didn't like the sights on my Battue so I took them off and then lost them:rolleyes:.

I guess that works.

I forgot about the stainless steel option, probably because I personally don't like it so it wouldn't be a loss to me. But, yes, there is that.

thanks i was looking at em last night and had a severe ooh shiney moment i'll be staying with what i've got and looking for something eltse to deal with this feeling that i need a new toy

You loose a little weight and more velocity. Personally I like standard length barrels, they are not that long after all, 22".
