T3 free floating?

With my T3 6.5x55 HV shooting in the .3's with Sierra MK 140gr. I'm going to leave it alone. When a factory gun performs that well I'm very happy. It's only the first few inches that are not free floated and a lot of guns are bedded that way for accuracy.
 
Mine's the lite, having the plastic stock, it makes contact at a bulkhead a few inches from the action. Shoots to good to mess with. How's yours grouping?
 
Mine are also T3 SS light and 300WSM- under 2" @ 200 yards with Hornady or Barnes, the some think with 308 and 6.5x55 so far i just try it with Hornady 120 gr and is just an over 1" @ 100 yards.
Canuckhunter what powder are you using for your load?
 
My T3 Hunter in .300 Win Mag was free floated from the factory. The bedding was quite loose, bad enough that I could push the barrel to one side of the forend and it would stay there. I could then push it to the other side and it would stay there too. Oddly enough, it shot very well like that. I bedded it so it didn't feel like the stock was going to come off, and it now shoots exactly like it did in the first place. Strange.
 
I just come buck from the range, I free floated my T3 light in 6.5 x 55 all the way to the receiver and the group shrunk from .7 "" to .5"" with Hornady 100gr.
Also i tried some different loads for Nosler 120gr and it shoots .4" group with Varget.
 
The one I bought in 223 was a Friday gun. Even though the barrel is supposed to be free float mine touched the stock in 3 places. Shot like schit so I did the right thing. Free floated the barrel completely then it became a tack driver.

A lesson learned from this. I bought the rifle from P & D (I am not pointing any fingers at them. They did not manufacture the rifle.) I should have checked the free float prior to purchasing.
