Hi guys .. this was a query sent to me by a buddy that hunts and just bought a new stainless Tikka T3 in 300 WSM. I realize that different ammo works better in individual rifles, but there must be some consensus on what factory ammo MOST of you guys prefer .. Any suggestions for him?

I guess it depends on what your buddy plans on hunting, but I'd stick with ammo loaded with premium bullets in a magnum rifle. Federal offers a lot of good selections for bullets like the TSX and Nosler Partition. If it's only for deer sized critters, pretty much anything will work.

I'll second the motion on the 180gr. AccuBonds - they're the best factory load my T3 Lite ever ate. Great terminal ballistics as well last hunting season - and I've got the freezer to prove it.

Id try either Federal Premium 180 Accubonds, Winchester Supreme 180 CT Accubonds, or Federal triple Shock X's

I put the Federal 180 Accubonds through it, and the thing got VERY squirrely for whatever reason. Wouldn't group for love nor money. But with the Winchester loads I was putting in 1-1/4" groups without a full benchrest setup (just shooting over a pack).
