They are in business to make money like we all are. The T3 is an incredible value. In 1973 the same gun would cost 169.oo when minimum wage was 1.25. Ultimately supply and demand will determine the cost. If the economy goes into a tailspin prices may decrease short term. What we are seeing is most businesses going out of guns because realistically there isnt a big markup.

ahhahahaha! are you kidding me? $1.25/hr, any other jokers out there wanna back this up? no one could survive in 1973 on $1.25/hr did you mean 1937? my old man was making $15/hr in 1973 framing houses(same wage alot of framers are making today!!!!)

I think Mac was just throwing out a dollar figure but, he wasn't far off....I was making just under $2/hr in '73 and Rem 700s went for $169 and weatherby mark 5s were $269, just a few years before i bought a new Rem.788 for $84. I remember them all as i coveted them but couldn't afford them.

Ben:

You are not that far off! I started working in the late 60s making $1.90/hr. I paid $48 for a Winchester 190 semi 22. Gas was $0.35 a gallon and $0.25 a burger if my memory serves me right. Those were the good old days!

Cheers!
