I am looking at a the T3 described in the title anyone care to comment on the rifle, what is available for rings and the trigger pull, or any other comment you wish to put forth.

Nice off the rack gun. Trigger is better then most out of the box. Smooth action. The .223 I have has Burris Signature rings and bases with offset inserts. Bushnell 3200 10X with target turrets and mil dot. and a Caldwell bi-pod. It has a 1:8 twist barrel that will shoot 80 gr bullets.
Sighted in at 100 only, no range report.

I have one in .22-250, with OPTILOCK rings/bases. Nightforce 5.5X22X56 with NPR2 reticle. Shoots winchester whitebox at .750 for 5 shot group, and .3 with 55gr vmax and 36.6gr varget. Trigger, backed it out as far i will go the allen head screw hits the other bolt. Its at just shy of 2lbs. I might notch the bolt and back it out farther but havent got around to it...

:) The action is smooth as silk IMHO. Trigger is one of the crispest outa the box I have owned. I would buy another in a heartbeat.

The Super Varmint has some nice options too - adjustable cheek piece, large bolt handle and a rail.

I like to think that the Super Varmint has a better quality barrel as well. Just the adjustable cheek piece, large bolt handle and a rail can't account for the $500 extra.

My T3 Varmint is giving me just over 1/2 MOA average and has shot as good as 1/4". I can't justify the extra expenditure. It is a keeper for sure.
