I have my heart set on a T3X Arctic (308). I know I know, I can get a CTR for half the price and customize it — but I really want the Arctic!

I have been doing some research on it and found very few old posts (couple of years old) from folks complaining about magazine feeding issues! Curious if this was a problem with the initial run and whether Tikka had addressed it.

So, I was wondering if folks with a recently purchased Arctic could weigh in on this? Any feeding issues? Problems with accuracy? Etc ...

TIA

What with the cost of ammo, I can't say I've fired a lot of rounds at one time but on a 10 round day I've had no such feed issues. For what they charge for a magazine, the things should work. I like my new Tikka a lot, just wish I could find a cowitness mount for the scope so I can always take advantage of the excellent iron sights. Never heard of accuracy problems, unless they're at my end.

I can't speak personally for the Arctic, but I ran a CTR with the factory mag for a few years (probably 300 rounds) and never had an issue. My buddy has the arctic and has never mentioned feeding issues with his. He now has my used mag from when I upgraded stocks and he said both mags function fine

I never had an issue with my ctr magazines...i always flared out the magazine catch just a tiny bit and that reduces any mag wobble people complain about. It takes two seconds with a flat blade screw driver.

The Arctic feeding issues occur with single bullet feeding. If you drop the ammunition onto the magazine there is a chance the lip of the brass will catch behind the rear of the magazine. Simple fix is to just remove some metal from the back of the mag. Once done, I had zero issues.

No issues at all, great unit

I love my Arctic as well. There’s a lot more to them than just the iron sights. Heavier barrel, 2 stage trigger, stock spacers. Also the little things like windage detents on the peep sight, 1/4 moa. You can feel the clicks when you loosen one side, then tighten the other to adjust. Same on the front sight to adjust elevation. The iron sight system on the arctics is amazing.

Put all the things together it’s a very well put together, functional rifle.

Some say the ruger scout is the better deal. I’ve handled and shouldered the scout and it doesn’t come close to the arctic.

That being said, at full price it’s a bit much. When they come up on sale, better deal.

I have both, the Ruger isn't in the same ballpark
