T97 Ambi AR15 mag release mod

Has anyone removed the factory mag release ? Any help in doing so would be awesome. I bought a Ar ambi I’m going to mod to fit.

Yes. You need a pair of pliers or something to unscrew the mag release button.

The magazine catch is what retains the last round bolt hold open, which will drop out a hole behind the magazine well when you remove it, so watch out for that.

Did you have any issues getting it off the first time ? I see in the pic that yours is staked like mine at three points ? Tganks

It's staked in place, you just have to use brute force and ignorance.
