T97 bolt catch problem/issue?

Picked up a BNIB T97 a while back, put the FTU on it and love it!

I took it up to the hunt camp this past week to let some of the guys play with it at the gravel pit and they love this thing too!

Now heres my issue, the factory mag that came with the rifle and the 2 LAR-15 mags (with orange followers) all worked great but didnt lock the bolt open on the last round. HOWEVER the 3 aftermarket mags I bought for my AR also worked great but they DID actually lock the bolt opened after the last round fired. Why would this be?

Below are the mags we were using, left is factory pinned mag, next to that, the coupled LAR mags and then the 3 mags on the right side that did lock the bolt opened, they are the ones that also has a pic showing the floor plate....



 
Possibly there is a little/minute more metal on back of the mags that hold open in the spot where the bolt would catch and hold. It seems you have ruled out other factors and have it down to difference in mags so look closely at the backs and see if there is slight differences there, that's all I can think of right now, could be wrong.
