I think everyone who was going to get a t97 has.. they a' rent for everyone too.... i believe the focus is going to be on the type 81 now

I would much prefer a t97...
That said, the lack of a real optic rail and the safety position has put it pretty low on my to-buy list.
I know there is the t97.ca FTU and LHG, which deals with the gripes I have with the t97, but I can't justify adding $800 worth of parts to a gun thats barely worth more than that in the first place. At a price of nearly $2000 all said and done, I might as well save a bit more and think about getting a Tavor...
If CanAm brought out a new version of the T97 with a better safety and a flattop from the factory without the price going through the roof I would be very interested...
edit - better mag release would be nice too...
