T97 Gen2 Lar-15 mag Compatibility

Hello all,

I have a quick question I hope someone who owns the second generation of the T97 can answer.

The first gen had issues with certain mags including the Lar-15 mags (well some did the one I had ran like a top ) has anyone used these mags in the gen 2 and how has it been?

I ran 6 mags all CPD LAR-15 on my T97 Gen 2. No problem at all went through 1000+ rds now. So I would say LAR15 runs fine on mine.

One thing I notice though... I cannot tap hard the LAR15 mag in with my palm at the bottom like I do with some other guns. If you push too hard it does tend to not able to load the round in chamber. That's not the gun issue more like mag issue since I can tap as much as I want with the Troy Battle mag and nothing will happen. If you ever push in too hard it is easy to fix, just slightly pull out the mag and you will hear a click which means the mag in the right place and my T97 will be just fine. Keep in mind this is my experience so other ppl's T97 might behave different.

At first they are kinda tight but after a while they are ok now. Some will drop free sooner than other so they are not all the same and have their own personalities. Adding a mag extension seems to make them drop free easier.

One more thing, I do notice that on last round bolt open dropping the mag has a random chance to cause the bolt go forward and close. I never experience that with my Troy Battle mag and the factory PoS mag.
