Not sure if this has been covered before, but what is the general consensus on this new t97 top mount?

I have handled a rifle with one of the prototype uppers and was very impressed. You get a lot for the price IMO. It definitely brings the rifle up a notch on the tacticool scale.

Went from a 4 to a 6 on style. I like it, battle sights and a good red dot or acog and it would look BA. Oh, and flat black upper of course. Barrel shroud?

Break out the buba hand saw!
Cause there is a new sheriff in town!
Oh wait...
Wrong forum :p
All Joking aside I am sure glad that people who buy these Kel-Tec style Chinese made rifles will at least have some sort of after market stuff to change there hideous looks.

So, with the upper and the planned lower, one would have to spend in excess of 2/3's of the rifles actual cost to add..........rails....unfcking believable.

So . . . we don't like the T97 because it doesnt have rails/optics/etc?

But when someone makes that for us we think its price gouging?

I'm sorry I really don't follow.

I think it offers a lot of promise for this platform.

You dont have to spend anything to put rails on. All you need is a rail and two screws. But if you dont want it too like ####, and would be happy to support a Canadian Shooting Company. Then yeah, buy one.

Lol, i dont own a T-97. But I'm glad we have the option to own one.

kind of weird that the rail stops over an inch before the back end. Huge design flaw I think. If I bought a T97, I would definitely like something like this with the ability to have iron sights installed on the rail at the front and back of the rail and that 1 inch buffer limits that idea.

We've used Magpul MBUS iron sights, a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot forward mounted and a Bushnell 1-4x scope during range testing. We had no problems running irons or optics on the FTU.

Look at the chassis' people buy for M305's.. most of them are 1000$+ after everything is said and done for a 400$ rifle. I agree though, the rifle costs to much to begin with and it is horrible ergos as is.
