I knew this beautiful rifle had potential to be a contender in the black rifle realm when I pre-ordered it way back in December of 2012. Now that it is in the country and that it has been gaining popularity among shooters, it was only time until a company came out with an intuitive design for this rifle to compensate for it's faults. A great big round of applause must be given to the guys at T97.ca for their spectacular work. Excellent works guys, keep it up as I am eagerly awaiting for your next product to come out, the LHG. I must say, the FTU makes the T97 ###y, and the installation wasn't all that difficult. I actually had quite a bit of fun cutting off the factory irons, I never really liked them, the FTU is WAY better. Now all I need is to buy a magpul rail segment so I can equip this rifle with an inforce light. Sporting on the T97 is probably my favorite optics company, Vortex Optics. I have the Vortex Sparc a very reliable red dot at a very competitive price. I know some may prefer the aimpoint t1 and h1, but the sparc is a little over a third of the price of an aimpoint and it is a solid contenter. I can live without the 5 year of constant illumination, that's just my 2 cents. The other optics shown below is the Vortex PST line of Optics. By far the best bang for your buck for a precision tactical rifle scope, your mileage may vary. The Vortex PST 1-4 x 24mm TMCQ is one of the scopes shown in the pictures below. It is my favorite setup for the T97, the reticle on this scope is a perfect for close quarters when on 1x power. There is a magnification level on this scope that puts you to 1.3x power, and I like it a lot more than 1x. It gives you that slight enhanced visual but at the same time not comprising that quick target acquisition at close range like when on 1x. The final optic is a Vortex PST 2.5-10 x 44mm EBR-1 which came off my norinco m305 (which has the amazing casm mount made by m14.ca). I wouldn't run with this optics in battle, I just don't think it's practical for this platform. Although, it would make a great system for bench shooting at the range. Therefore I will be test the T97 for accuracy next weekend at 100 yards, and the 2.5-10x scope will be the one to be used for the testing. I'm really hoping to get under 2 moa with cheap norinco ammo, but we will see. I will post a range report shortly after I go to the range.

Well enough with me rambling on, so ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the T97.ca FTU with 3 different system: CQB (close quarter battle), DMR (designated marksmen rifle), and EMR (enhanced marksmen rifle). Enjoy!!! AND PLEASE, POST YOUR T97 PICS, show me your tacticool T97!!!

By the way, sorry for the stuff that surrounds the T97, I just thought it would make for a better picture :)

The 1-4 would be the best all around optic on that gun by far in my opinion, gets you from 0-400 yards with very little effort and superb accuracy of shot placement, providing the rail does as advertised and holds zero.

I was getting about 2MOA with 5x Chinese optics, Norinco factory ammo, fleabay rings bought for test-fit purposes and just a CanAm rail. The FTU is supposed to be a lot lower and steadier than that. With better optics and nice reloads, I wouldn't be surprised if the OP gets into the 1.5MOA range.

I hope I can get 1.5 moa, I would definitely need to get better ammo though. The norinco ammo just won't cut it, I think I might buy a variety of decently priced brands and test them out. Any suggestion on what ammo to buy? I want to limit it to 4 brands, norinco being one of them. I might buy some mfs, and Winchester white box.

Corrected :D I'm not sure if there is good factory 223 for precision shooting out there.. Chances are you'll have to roll your own.

Edit: Not that I'd consider 1.5 to be "precision" shooting, but if you wanna test the limits of a rifle's accuracy, you wanna use ammo that's as consistent as possible.

I agree as well, I like the versatility of the 1-4x scope. Especially on this scope because it has the tmcq reticle, so when on 1x it is just like an eotech. It has that nice ring around the cross hairs.
