T97 picture thread

This space reserved for me in a thong, doing my tiger impression, with my type 97nsr out of focus in the background.

My thong has a hole in the front, that lets mr happy peek out. The mods said it was indecent, though I think it's totally decent, above average in fact!

Here are a few T97-esque pics from an old gun mag.
Looks like the useless piece of sh i t photobucket has posted the pics sideways and I can't be bothered to play around with them.

It looks like it has a generous amount of room between the carry handle and the charging handle, so maybe you could chop the top part of the handle and install a rail in its place? Could probably lower things by about an inch if you did that but it'd probably look like hell. Something like this?

Shot one today. The rear sight is a little close due to the short length of the rifle. Recoil could not be described as recoil at all but rather like a vibration within the rear part of the rifle. In other words there was no push into the shoulder just a vibration. Extraction was good and muzzle flip was not noticeable. There are three positions on the the gas setting and it is easy to use. Magazine insertion was ergonomic.
Overall the rifle is nicer to handle and shoot than the Tavor. Shooting it left handed was not a good idea but I had to make the attempt.
I will wait for the version with the left side ejection and the selector switch near the pistol grip if ever they are in the works.

LOP is most likely setup for body armor. Wear thicker clothes or at least soft armor and it should be perfect. :p. Shooting bullpups off hand. Angle the rifle slightly if on your left side angle slightly to the right. the sights will still work at some angle and the ejector will be facing slightly downward. Your cheek weld is on the left side edge of the stock. This allows you to fire without eating brass. It works with the Tavor at least. Worth a try with the T97.

Living vicariously here for a few days. :kickInTheNuts:

The scope rail is the same price it has always been. $99.95 with free shipping. It is a different style (see thru) and made in Canada.

So NS just posted these were finally in their hands....I'm guessing there will be a little more waiting. Would be nice if they just shipped direct to whoever has them ordered and paid for from the respective retailers.
I'm still on the fence, I want to see if there are any bugs with the new design. I'm also on the fence with pricing as they are claiming next order is FEB and could be up to $1199 retail. They also threw a jab in the post about CanAm's not being approved and don't wait to buy one as these NSR's are selling out fast.
It wasn't that long ago that Lever Arms were the only ones bringing in Nork M14's and were retailing for $800...then someone else started bringing them in at $400. I see the scope rail for the T97 has already doubled in price from CanAms $50.....now other retailers want $100.
I know a lot of folks are mental for these and need to be the first ones to.have them. It's been 4 years of waiting for some of us, so I think ill wait it out a little more.

I like the peep on the rifle, so I'd recommend going with the Clob rail from SFRC. Posted a full range report in Red Rifles and General, by the way. On a side-note, to warm your black hearts, I also got to shoot an AR for the first time, loved it and will getting one at some point (not to say that I don't love my T97, my heart is pretty big ;) )
