Just get some flat black engine block paint.
Follow the application instructions to the letter and cure it in your oven if you can get all plastic off of it.

It's not some krylon sh*te sir. It's about as durable a finish you could put on a gun in your own home especially if you heat cure it like I said.
I stripped and re did an entire beat to hell Model 12 pump gun in it. I can't even scratch it/chip it off with a finishing nail.
It will withstand 600F temp and any/all oil etc
Should match the rough matte finish on the T97 just fine to boot.
