I am new at this and am in the process of putting together a 1022. What I have so far is this: Stock 1022, Nordic chassis( which is currently having the anodizing removed). ,magpul CTR ( on the way from Irunguns), Silver tac sol barrel, black aluminum flas hider from iron eagle tactical with raw aluminum holes...Would and what makes the tac sol v-block better? If I were to upgrade trigger ,would it be very difficult for a first timer?

IMO the vblock helps with berrel drop. If your adding a long bull barrel. Then yes youd need one.
However I too have the tacsol barrel. Its wicked light 15oz. No need for the vblock.
Just my opinion. Not my money, its yours you make the call.

As far as the trigger. IMO youtube the 10/22 trigger mod. It saves you $300 on a drop in trigger group.
It will still be $60+ for just a hammer. So IMO work with what ya got. If you still dont like it. Then spend the money.
However my guess is most will say go and get a timney or kidd trigger.

there is no comparison between a timney and kidd and a home made trigger job.
there is a reason they cost 250-350.

ya get what ya pay for.
thats not saying that doing a HP trigger job dosnt give ya a nice trigger, but its no Kidd.

but i dont think putting a after market trigger group is just a drop in with some of those namad kits, you may wanna look into it but i recall people coming in from time to time complaining about them not fitting right.

I've got the tac-sol as well and it is definitely very light ,(as little air wolf says) , I'd save your money and put it into the trigger or ammo . I think the Kidd is way over-priced although very good , I haven't done mine yet but when I do I'll be using a timinney .

Thanks everyone, I don't think I'll get the v-block. I'll use the trigger I have for now. I have a lot of cash gone into this already.. Lol . I'll do the trigger and a few other mods after a few more turn arounds. Now to check out the tummy trigger :)

If you have money burning a hole, then get the trigger group. Atleast if you dont like it, you can sell it for a lose of $30+
Timmy.. Kidd.. Volquartsen , is there much diff. I've already got $1100 or $1200 gone into this already, so I ca wait a while longer . I won't have the anodizing removed until my buddy gets back in July . I do have 5 more weeks to go , so who knows what I'll have bought for this by then.lol

kidd is the Lamborghini of 10/22 triggers
timny is the Porsche
vq is a great entry level trigger.

i run stock, VQ, timny and kidd and they all have their strengths, i wouldnt run a kidd in a straight out blaster, kidd is for benchshooting, timney is great, i run one in my blaster. i also really like the VQ.

here is a vid i made last year.

its long but i go over all 4 (actually 5 - old stock trigger and new stock, vq, timmy, kidd)

but in summary, kidd for benchshooting, timney for blaster to entry bench shooting, vq for blaster.
thats the spectrum id rate them (blaster -> benchshooting)

Yeah.. You can drill and tap your own trigger and make it SWEET!
If you're looking for a name brand with a metal assembly, then VQ, or Kidd would be your best bet.
