So aside from reading 257 messages in 18 different threads, can someone tell me the verdict? Prohibited? Ok to go? Not sure, maybe? It's not an assisting device that helps the rate of fire, it's a whole trigger pack in itself, and it's not full auto, so there is some grey area here I think.
Telling us to use the search function is actually longer than telling us what the answer is...

So the rcmp just has to come on google do a quick search to this site and check the threads and voila they already have their answer all packaged up by them by the folks at CGN, 2 minutes of work.
My mind just blew up on my keyboard folks.

it would be fun with a 10 round pistol mag and i dont see how this is prohib it doesnt make the gun full auto at all

The answer is in one of the threads Shooter quoted.

"Any electrical or mechanical device that is designed or adapted to operate the trigger mechanism of a semi-automatic firearm for the purpose of causing the firearm to discharge cartridges in rapid succession."

I'm sure they can use this vague POS to prohibit it.

This trigger is NOT a magical or mysterious device that makes any guns go full automatic. It is difficult to explain in marketing materials unless the majority of the audiences have a bit of an understanding of the mechanics of shooting fast. I am not the expert but I will make an attempt.

What it does it makes people that do not train to shoot fast easier by having a very strong trigger reset. Instead of using the finger to squeeze and release, this "lazy people" trigger allows the shooter to concentrate on just squeezing and almost nothing on releasing.

If you squeeze the trigger and follow through ( and stop ) like what you will do in traditional rifle shooting, the trigger does exactly like any other trigger will do.

If you are already very good at your trigger, this trigger does not do much at all. On the other hand, if you haven't mastered the trigger, this makes thing easier.

I will venture to say that this trigger is a short cut in training It goes back to the debate where many competent enough shooters shoot their glocks by releasing enough to just make the reset versus where the higher level shooters train to fully release the trigger. If you can only shoot your own gun with only your own amount of trigger reset, you are pretty much a one trick pony.

So I guess the conclusion would be it should be fine but good luck explaining yourself to the police that think you have a full auto m4/m16, right?

Yes, that's exactly how it works. Canadian law is determined by CGN.

I don't think it should be prohibited, looked to me like you have to pull the trigger for each bullet fired. The only difference is it looked like it assisted the trigger forward? Although it wouldn't surprise me if they made it prohib just from it looking like it has a happy switch.

The thing is, there are mechanical components that help reset the trigger, and therefore discharge the firearm in rapid succession.

Yeah. In other words, it is a short reset or light reset trigger. Kind of like my Sig with a short reset trigger. Does this mean my Sig pistol is full auto and prohibited? Nope, didn't think so!
