Tactcal shotgun optics

Hi guy looking for an optic for my 870 marine mag for iipsc and hD duties do not hunt. Recommendations....least costly but reliable ...was thinking about a burris speed bead...any help apprecciated

Burris would be a good choice.. personally I always wanted to try out the aimpoint micro T1s

The T1 works awesome on my Benelli M4, but even the H1 is pretty high up on the cost.

A decent set of ghost rings would go a long way though, I love the LPA ghost ring sights on my Benelli too.


I used to have a Docter Optics MRD, and it was an awesome sight too! stood up to the recoil like a champ, I just sold it to get the T1.

^ What f22 says is very true. Doctor optics are sturdy as hell, but if cash is an issue get a good set of ghost rings. If you've been shooting with bead sights, the ghost rings will up your game and not by little. fast and accurate.

My MM has Wilson Combat/Trijicon ghost Rings. Love them.

Rugged. Low profile, low light and work well when using slugs. Fast acquisition. I want for nothing.

I have an 870 that I use for 3-gun. I am running the Wilson/Scattergun Track-Lock sights. Last match I mounted a T1 just to see if it would make any difference, since I'm already running a CompML3 on my carbine. I actually preferred the ghostring setup to the dot. Maybe if all the targets were slugs at 25+ yds the dot may be the way to go, but up close and with clay targets, I find the ghostring to be quicker. YMMV
