You might be fully shocked to know that I do not own a pump gun of any kind these days. One 10/22 semi automatic. All others are bolt guns.

Fire 20+ rounds in a row out of a Remmie 742 etc. See what happens to that barrel. You need an extra in your kit. They're excellent rifles,but,there's no way they're built for that.

I do not recall the magazines of this capacity...

It wouldn’t be a problem cause every other shot it would jam and that would let the barrel cool down enough for the next few shots before it jams again . After all they weren’t called jamomatic for nothing!!

Gave my bil a 742 quite a while back. He had a couple of these mags and some plastic ten rounders. No idea how well they worked (he lives a couple provinces over). - dan

Many many moons ago a guy was selling these mags at the Calgary Gun show and I heard him flogging them to one guy . He said something along the way of carrying the normal mag when out in the open but once you got out in the bush changing to the long mag in case your run into trouble. I to this day haven't figured out what this trouble could possibly be.

That seems optimistic, that a 742 would be able to cycle 20 rounds without jamming. Mine seldom made it to 4.
