I just got my new 10/22 Carbine for Christmas and am already hunting the internet for mod's. I wanted the 10/22 specifically because of all the cool stuff you can do to it. I also liked the idea that it wouldn't put me in the poor house trying to feed it. I may get a tricked out AR15 some day but buying 223 ammo would cost me my marrage. I would really be interested in some suggestions of things already done. It would be helpfull to have pic's so that I can see what a finished version looks like.

I also have a question about Bullpup Stocks. I found them on http://www.bullpupgunstocks.com/. The top of the web page mentions that they will not ship to Canada. Can anyone shed any light on the reason why?

I really like the Buttler Creek folding stock, 25 round banana clip (wish it wasn't smoke plastic), muzzle break or flash suppressor, Barrel Shroud......and a ton more.

Help me spend my money. I want the coolest looking AR15ish example I can get.

Thanks

my only suggestion is get the 'steel lips' Butler Creek mag. The plastic lip one is a 'feeding' nighmare...worth the extra $$$.

Congrats on the 10/22 I just bought a new one a few months ago! Be sure to post up some pics when you are done!

Thanks

Because a couple of Gun control acts ago.. the Feds put bull pup stocks into the Canada criminal code as prohibited weapons.

why not gett a Choate Pistol grip full stock instead ;-) Put a red dot optic on top, do some trigger and action mods, and you should have a fun little plinker that won't break the bank :D

Ditto on the steel lips over hot lips - durability much better with steel lips.

here is my folder.

its a modified black warrior. lots of people dont like folders and tried to talk me out of it but i love it. it is very comfortable to shoot. i am also going for the ar styled gun. it is not there yet . i have to build a foregrip and ar carry handle/scoperail. also building a barrel cover to make it appear bigger. my stock wont take the bull barrel so i have to fudge it. they sure are fun guns though hey.

the 1th move I make with my son 10/22 for starting to make a tactical rifle is to put a gamo scope 4X32 with imtegrate laser and and tactical light, I brought some 25 and 50 rounds clip and the machine to load the 25 shoots butler creek steel lip.

The laser and the light work pretty well and the scope is really good for the price.

I am a member there as well .. I tried to get info on shipping to Canada, but no one responded. I realize that every situation (e.g. part type, cost, etc.) CAN create problems at the border .. just wondered if stocks were a big issue or not. For a price, the guys at Questar will import anything for you! Just don't know if it would be worth all the hassle ..

mine looks exactly like mtcentral's however the folding stock is stainless as is the barrel. definitely go with steel lip mags. big difference even when you're loading them.

AWSUME looking unit sxyglock17. Totally the look I was after. Is that yours?

Mine will probably end up being closer to what mtcentral showed us. I really want to add a bull barrel.

Did you guys buy those parts in Canada?

Thanks for the suggestions. I've heard about the steel lip mag's on rimfirecentral. I'm sure that's in the plans also.

I'll be sure and post pictures of Suzy when she's all done up.

ciao for now
