So I just pulled the TI charging handle/guide rod assembly out of my 10/22 and its pooched. I was getting alot of stovepipes so I figured the trigger group needed cleaning. Did that and lightly re-oiled the bolt/ch assembly with no difference. Chamfered the bolt which helped a little but did not fix the problem. I swapped the TI piece for an '89 ruger CH assembly and bingo. Slick as s**t. I cleaned and relubed the TI guide rod with no change. I can see its scuffed pretty good and done for. Anyone else have one fail like this? Round count is somewhere between 3-5k. I'm thinking about grabbing a Kidd CH, anyone run one much? Sounds like a well made part.
