I'm not sure if Tac Ord has a spot anywhere but I'm pretty sure they are listed as a gunsmith on here (Arwen Ace) so Mods can put this where it needs to be.

This thread is overdue but I just wanted to let everyone know how pleased I am with the service I've been getting from Casey at Tactical Ordnance. I find that these days customer service is hard to come by. No one answeres their emails, they charge a premium for poor quality products and services and once they have your money the dont stand behing what they sold. However, I've never had this problem with Tactical Ordnance.

I've bought a few things from them, and had some gunsmithing done(Short Norinco barrel modified to accept chokes, installed ball detent and ramp style bead sight) My emails were always answered promptly, the produts are top quality as is the gunsmith work and the prices are more than fair.

Everyone takes the time to whine about poor service so I thought that I'd take the time to let everyone know how happy I am with the service at Tac Ord. I'm sure others feel the same. Keep up the good work.

Tac Ord is a great company and the work is "top shelf" Casey is very approachable and his work speaks for itself. Keep up the good work.

How much did it costs to get a ball detent installed.

I was considering getting this done too.

I just had him do some work on my 870 over the Christmas holidays. Sent the gun Dec 19 and had it back on Dec 31 (including 2 days where the post office had a "reroute error", I almost left a pickle in my pants when I thought they lost it!!!). I had him Vang comp the barrel and install Scattergun Tech Ghost ring sights. I have abolutely no reservations about reccommending him. Service and work quality are outstanding. After shooting the gun I think the Vang Comp work is worth every penny.

Casey is great to deal with. I have had nothing but possitive experiences when dealing with him. He even called a local gunsmith to walk him through installing the ghost rings I bought from him.

How much did it costs to get a ball detent installed.

It was in the area of $40 if I recall correctly, quite reasonable. Shoot Casey an email, I'm sure he'll be happy to help.
