This is an off-shoot from the Tactical Shotty Pic thread;

I was wondering if anyone has done any tactical single shot Pardners. I was thinking about turning my turkey gun into one(screw in choke) by adding the tactical stock and heat shield(Will give me a pistol grip and the ghost ring sights for turkey hunting). I know theres some other neat attachments too, but wanted to get some input from you gentlemen. Suggestions on what stock, what shield...etc etc etc.

At 21 years old I obviously know everything :D but just wanted to hear some other opinions too

P.S Also wanted to know if the stock will hold up to 3" Turkey loads, 4 5 or 6's

I admire the spirit, but a single shot "tactical" shotgun will get you more than a few scoffs and funny looks. A Remington 870 Express will only set you back 300 near new, if not less, and then there's a wealth parts available for your customizing. Look at the Mossberg 500 too, also dirt cheap. Frankly, I'd just sell the homely little single shot and move on if you want a tactical gun, as it surely isn't one, and there's basically nothing aftermarket available for it anyhow.

Oh I don't want a tactical shotgun, but thought with the additions it might change the feel and recoil of it(It kicks like a mule with a turkey load and I don't want to get it drilled and tapped). I was just refering to it as Tactical due to the fact that all the changes are sold as tactical parts, it is first and formost a turkey gun. As far as options go for the single shots you can find shell carriers, synthetic tactical stocks, barrel covers with ghost rings and the muzzle mounts and of course the extra recoil pads.

The single shot Turkey Pardner with the screw in choke is one amazing turkey gun and only set me back around 160$...if you can find a turkey gun for less then that NEW...you are a better man then I. Not to mention, who really needs more then one shot for a turkey anyways ;)

I do appreciate the advice though, but if anything the scoffs and funny looks are incentive enough.
