For our next course, we are holding our Tactical Rifle I class at the Hamilton Angling and Hunting Association (HAHA) on May 26th.

You do not have to be a member of HAHA to attend this course. We will be able to provide you the supplemental invitation letter for your ATTT so you can bring restricted firearms to the range.

Tactical Rifle I is an entry level course where students will be taught the proper technique for operating their semi-automatic rifle in a 3 to 50 yard setting. This class will cover the proper choice and placement of gear as well as effective shooting platform and proper mounting of the firearm. Students will learn to engage multiple targets while utilizing various transition techniques and shooting positions. Students will be encouraged to sharpen their shooting skills on both strong and weak sides. Speed loads and tactical reloading of the firearm will also be covered in this course.

This course is for the student who chooses to develop a solid foundation for shooting their tactical rifle. Students will build confidence and see significant improvements in their speed and accuracy over the one-day course.

One Day Course: 500-750 Rounds

Classes are limited to 10-12 students to ensure more personal, one-on-one attention.

Registration is on a first-come, first serve basis. The course will run rain or shine. Lunch is included on course-day.

Tuition: $275.00 + HST

Let us know if you have any questions, each student who has taken this course has had a smile ear to ear when they left the range at the end of the day!

We just had two spots open up for this course coming up on Saturday!

Here's a pic from last year's course.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you deal with the ammunition restrictions in Canada at these types of courses? Using LAR / Beowulf mags? More frequent mag changes (a good skill to master for sure, but every 5 rounds?)

Good question. Yes, we encourage our students to use full size mags that are pinned to 5 rounds rather than the 10 round LAR mags. They are simply easier to reload with (more surface area to hang on to), and our students simply get more repetitions on reloading then they would if they have 30 round mags. On one hand, it's a pain, lots of reloading, on the other hand, we like to think that us Canadians are great at reloading because we've had so many repetitions !
