Tactical shotguning near Vancouver BC?

re

I know that Silvercore used to organize and host shoots for both combat/tactical shotgun and handgun. Not sure if they are still around though. Try to give them a call. Believe their business name was Silvercore Training. They are located in Delta just off River road past the Tilbury Industrial area.

I'm not from BC but i hear that currently almost anywhere in BC you can take part in tactical shotgunning!!
Get video!!

sorry for the hijack my contribution to this thread is over, have a nice day. :)

re:

glad to hear that Silvercore is still running. They were very professional and knowledgeable every time for me. Contact them for tactical shooting. They will steer you in the right direction.

If you dont know what tactical shotguning is,go youtube!

GREEKGUY76, abbotsfort fish and game is hosting a fighting shotgun course by tactical response on june 29th and 30th. Go to ATS under CURRENT AFFAIRS on http://www.abbotsfordfishandgameclub.org/

also the gun club in pitt meadows emailed me saying they were getting enough interest in the disapline to kick it off again after it kind of died out for a bit.

I'll see what silver core has to say.

I dont have any training in tac shotguning but if you can do sporting clays without training, why not this!Although I'm extreamly interested in doing the course with Tac response in July.

Keep up the posts and show your interest to the clubs lads!!

i wish i new when u find out let me know

I just spoke to silvercore and they said they do shotgun training. Also said they just realised they didnt have it advertised on there web site so will be getting back to me with prices. I'm basically wanting to shoot a course similare to the reactive pistol shooting courses. Use of cover, tac reload etc

Hit them up

Ok silvercore now has a shotgun level 1 course up on their web site under courses

I'm not sure how "tactical" that course is. I was at Abby F&G recently and one of the Silvercore instructors was giving a shotgun course demonstration to a couple guys. It looked more like something for guys that have never handled a shotgun before, nothing too advanced. Unless that was a different course.

MATT what you witnessed was a specialized shotgun familiarization session for a member of a charity fundraising event that will be operating in areas where they may need to defend themselves from bears (http://www.punchcancerintheface.com/).

Our Shotgun Level 1 course is geared towards the practical application of the shotgun as opposed to being sport oriented. It seems everything is “tactical” these days, from wrist watches to water bottles. We tend to shy away from using the highly overused marketing word “tactical” when referring to any of our courses, we simply teach a skill set that can be applicable on many levels.

Our courses are dynamic in that they apply the latest techniques that we as a company feel is the best product for the end user. The shotgun level 1 course does include the principles of movement, speed loading, effective use of cover and unusual shooting positions.

In ones quest to become a complete and well rounded shooter, we encourage not only our students but also our instructors to learn from as many sources as possible and employ the techniques that work best for them and their situation.

Sincerely,

Travis Bader
