I am considering selling my S&W M&P 15-22 and getting a Tactical Solutions AR 22 - LT upper for my RRA LAR-15. Does anyone have any experience with this specific upper? Any feedback on reliability, accuracy and value for money would be appreciated. There are not that many reviews on US sites (that I could find). General feedback on other Tac Sol .22 uppers would also be appreciated.

Thanks

I don't have any experience with it myself but I was looking at the reviews on Brownells website and they were not encouraging. Most noted it was super picky in ammo choice.

I use a cmmg conversion, and I have few different mags for it, it's more picky about mags then ammo. Mind you I use only one type of .22 in it and it works so I haven't expirmented.

this will cost you more than getting rid of the M&P and you will not be much ahead in terms of performance. But I guess you will have higher cap mags

Thanks for that, I had not seen the Brownells reviews. I am somewhat reluctant for the very reason that my S&W is very reliable and I don't want a rifle that is picky about ammo. I already have a DAR 22 that is super accurate and picky about ammo.

I also use a cmmg conversion kit and find it runs great, will eat any ammo I give it. I have only used the BDM mags and they work great. Not as accurate though, as the barrel is not dedicated .22LR

I just made an offer on a new stainless steel CMMG conversion kit on the EE. I thought that might be fun to play with in combination with my 10.5" LMT upper. Plus I can get 25 rd Black Dog mags. I guess that means the Tac Sol option is no longer on the table, but I will keep the S&W. Thanks for the input to everyone who posted on this thread.
