Tactical Solutions AR-22 Upper, Where to Buy??

On the subject, who has a spikes complete upper these days? I only see bits floating around on the dealer sites.

It does have the plastic feel to it but I don't mind it so much. It's so fun to shoot 28 rounds of 22lr out of it, I tend to forget that it's made of polymer.

If the polymer upper really bothers you, you could always buy this kit and just swap it out with an aero precision one. Another member has done this and said that it works.

Another option is to maybe try and build one yourself with the cmmg drop in kit from Questar ($200), a cmmg barrel from Brownells ($99). aero precision upper from ArmsEast ($115) plus an upper parts kit ($?).

Can you actually swap the upper receiver? A lot of those polymer ARs are proprietory and are not swappable with regular AR-15 parts.

That's what I thought. Wouldn't it also be just about as easy to build one from scratch? I would definitely look into the Chiappa if I knew that I could swap out the upper receiver on it.

It's about $1000 worth of parts to put together a .22 upper. In the US a complete upper is $650.
