Taiwan Military's Latest Domestically Produced Rifle the T112

I noticed in the second video the regular force troops were issued and were using the Vietnam era M16 with steel sights. I am sure the T112 will be a huge leap forward for their combat rifle program! Congratulations to Taiwan (y)

Looks like a T91 with a new handguard and new stock, and modified lower with ambi feature. Wolf imports the T91 uppers to the US market you can even buy it at brownells:

I am not sure I like that 2 screws of attaching an aluminum extrusion tube to the barrel nut they way they do. It actually survives a drop test?

Those are not M16 - they are old T65.

The old T65 suffers some quality issues - like weak plastic and corrosion. But that's obviously Taiwan in the 70's, not exactly like the Taiwan of the last 20 years.

Looks like they are dumping the old stuff into the US market as part kits.

Does a t65 mate with an ar15 receiver? Or named in oic? If not why are we making 180’s instead of these..,
