Was wondering what others have found/made for a compact takedown bag. The Chiappa Little Badger bag isn't as durable as some other options, so looking for some ideas.

I found this, which is really cool.

Or maybe something like this:

Thanks for your thoughts!

I have the utg homeland security bag.I think it's 24 inches. It holds my keltek sub 2000, 4 mags,4 box's ammo, straps for my optic and my reloader. Awesome bag for $43 on amazon.

I'm using a 24" tripod bag. It cost $20.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the great ideas - some really awesome options! I really wanted to keep the price of the bag down under ~$50ish CAD, so ordering from the Untied states of 'Murica didn't work out, what with our dollar seemingly on par with the Peso these days, and really expensive postage. So, then I decided I wanted something I can sling, either cross-body or backpack style, so it's less conspicuous and keeps hands free for other things like holding a smoke, or a Tim's...

Then I considered 'grey-man' styling. While the tactical options are cool looking, I don't want to draw unnecessary attention in a zombie apocalypse (could happen! šŸ˜), and with a small pack, I could also supplement with a few additional prepper thingummies & lighten my bug-out bag.

So, I found a Deuter 22 pack, which fits very nicely to those requirements. It's a low-key green and grey, has good back ventilation and is sturdy without being obtrusive - and I got it for $60.

I'm working on a mod project for a Little Badger. Got some fun ideas off the interweb and a couple threads here, so I've been cobbling together a shopping list of (cheapo) bits & pieces off the 'web-Bay', with an eye to keeping the total project costs down to somewhere south of the cost of the rifle. Gonna go with desert digicam finish, kydex stock filler panel with small survival kit & skinning/gp fixed blade both mounted, qd sling, and some kind of cool looking low-pro sight. The original Badger bag didn't hold up in storage, so I don't want to trust it to actual use - even from the house to the car.

Btw, for normal hauling toys to the range, I use a Protection Racket bag for mics, stands etc. It's sturdy, wheeled, lockable, has web lifting and retractable pull handles, fits nicely in the trunk, protects it's contents, and allows me to pack along ammo and tools in one easy to move package.

Once the Badger project is completed, I'll post some pics!

Thanks again for all the suggestions!

I picked up a squash racket bag at our local good will for a couple bucks...... way better padding and construction then the original Lil Badger bag and fits pretty well.

This is what I made up for my break action shotgun, the same idea would work for the Little Badger.

Pant leg off an old set of cargo pants, sewn closed at one end, and left a bit of excess material at the other end with some velcro sewn in to act as a close-able flap. Some webbing sewn into the back as a shoulder strap. The cargo pocket left in to carry a few shells.

Been using it for a few years now (I've since swapped the gun in the picture for the same model with a wood stock), has held up pretty good. Keeps it from getting dinged up. I can walk around the bush with it on hiking trails and it doesn't scare the granola's with a Disneyfied concept of "nature."

Can be made for the approximate cost of $0 - which should fit within your budget ;)

Bwahahahaha!

Looks great - that's an awesome idea, right there!!

I think the deuter will really be better suited to actual travel - seems like a waste to have that just sitting in the closet, have to look around now for some old clothing...
