hey guys,

I keep on hearing how it's now $90/flight to fly AC with guns, but on their website it's still $50... Anyone know what's the story with $90?

Thanks

Due to my physical location, (To get to Ottawa from Halifax, Westjet has to go to Toronto first...) I've been forced to fly AC a few times over the last year and with the exception of once last summer, they've forgotten to charge me anything each time. I've heard the same from others.

I fly with handguns fairly often, as stated above, they do not always ask for the fee, and when they do, I tell them I have no money and offer to leave the pistols with them right there, since I don;t really need them. Most of the time they just wave me onward

I'll take a look at fly porter - the only reason I'm looking at AC is I have a free return flights with them that I need to book by the end of the month or lose the points... So I'm thinking Halifax for the NS provincials...

They will charge $50 each way per case, but it will depend who you get at the ticket counter whether you'll get dinged.

We booked with BMI because they had a "no extra firearms fee" policy if you're within luggage restrictions. We didn't realize until later that BMI put us on AC+Luftansa flights. AC charged us the fee on the way out because we were on "their metal", but Luft decided it was a stupid fee and didn't charge us on the way back :D.

We'll be complaining to BMI :bangHead:.
