taking apart my rem. 812

Hey all, I've decided this winter I'm finally going to do a tear down on a few of my older beater guns give them a good cleaning and reblue/redo the stocks on them. I've decided to start with my remington 812 410. I'm about to start on the stock but need to remove the little plate (grip cap?) at the bottom of the grip and can't figure out how it comes off. I'm assuming underneath the R I can access the screws but don't want to completely destroy it trying to access it. Anyone had one of these apart/ have any tips on how to remove it?

And as usual I jump the gun, ask the question and figure it out on my own. A little prying with my knife and the center cap popped out and its off. Thanks anyways
