i just bought a marlin modle 25 mn wood stock.....and i am making tack driving converions to it...get this...and this can be done to any rifle...first take the gun apart and have the barrel stressed relived...( thats having it cryogenically froze at -400 degrees for three days and that straightens the barrel to its most sraightness) then i drilled two 3/4 inch holes in the butt of the stock 3 inches deep...and inserted two solid steel bars 3 inches long in the holes....this here took alot of recoil out of the mag and then finally have the barrel free floating.....and with a $50 bushnell scope im hitting pop bottle caps at 100 yards ....no problem....next im going to try hitting a tack....lol...if any more tips on making guns shoot straighter let me know....
