I've decided to get into reloading, since I can't afford the 10mm store bought ammo. I've read the great PDF article someone wrote explaining the pro's and con's between the Lee, Dillon and Hornady progressive reloaders. I found this a great source of info and with all the info on Youtube, it has helped me decide to purchase the Hornady LNL AP. It will a month or so before I pull the trigger on that, but as I gear up I have some questions I have not found any info on, so I'm hoping the answers are here.
#1: I got some .45 ACP dies (combo of Redding and RCBS) from a CGN sale earlier this year. I plan to use them after I get comfortable and proficient using the .40/10mm dies I will buy. How do I know if the dies are the carbide type that will not requrie the use of case lube on the sizer die? Are all dies made, designed not to use case lube, or is this a relatively new innovation in die technology?
#2: Of the power choices available, what is out there that will give good performance for the 10mm loads I will start with, but more importantly which power will give me that huge muzzle flash that I love so much with the 10mm round. I have seen titegroup used, and have had some .45's loaded with it from a friend, but is that best choice for what I'm looking for?
#3: For powder choice, is there a few recommendations for a good powder that I could use for loading 9mm, .40 S/W, 10mm and .45ACP? I would really like to standardize on one or two, just to keep the variation down.
