Takla Lake fuel options

Does anyone who is either from that area or has some knowledge of it know what the fuel options are ? Is Ft. St. James pretty much it ?

When I lived there it had a gas station at the Trading Post. I can't say for sure that it is still there. It's been a while. However, there are a lot of vehicles, snowmobiles, quads, boats, etc., not to mention Helicopters that land there frequently, so I would be surprised if there wasn't. I would just contact the Band office there.

You're talking about Takla Landing ? I'm kind of looking at the southwest side of the lake, and trying to figure out if I have to pack a barrel or two of diesel.

7-27 actually. I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt to bring a couple of barrels.

make sure you can secure all your gear in that country. It has a way of growing legs and walking off if left unattended.
