yesterday it was very windy and raining so i decided to take a walk to scout for deer as the wind would prevent me from spooking them. turns out there were 50+ geese in the pond and i just happened to have my 870
the majority were on an island with a small flock circling the pond so i snuck up ahead of where the birds were going and waited. was actually kinda difficult because of the 70 or so eyes 40 yards away on the island looking around but i got er done.
the circling flock swam about 25 yards in front of me then i stood up. wtf...they didnt spook? so i yelled and they still didnt fly? so i shot one that was away from the flock and all hell broke loose. i somehow managed to unload and reload again very quickly.
6 shots, 5 birds in the water with only 1 pellet in a body. all head and neck shots baby
