Oh, and I don't have a semi auto 12 ga, so this would be a good step :D

I don't own one but I've played with a few, I find them surprisingly muzzle heavy and just heavy overall, feeling more like a battle rifle than a shotgun.

Also I'm not a fan of ghost rings in general although in this case they worked for better than any other GR gun I've used. Not a huge fan of the Benelli lifter design either, easy to wind up with a case of "Benelli thumb" if you don't watch it.

Absolutely love mine!

A full tube would be nice but the government doesn't trust us with 10rds in a semi-auto shotgun :p

I'm curious though if CanAm will have Dominion Arms make 1100 clones with magazines ...I think that would be something interesting to see.

They are AWESOME shotguns :D

factory set up to take optics, works great with all ammo I have tried (although it took a bit of a break in period of 00 buckshot to run 100% with the low brass target ammo, but now is pretty much 100%)

very low recoil (I would say with buckshot its similar to, or a little less than an M1a in .308), awesome quality.

just do it :D

Right on! :D :D :D

This is just what I wanted to hear!

I love heavy guns. I'd prefer heavy to light and chintzy. At least when it's empty you can use it to smash stuff :D

I'd probably be droping an EO Tech on it, so the GR are not an issue. Although I've never used GR before...

Now just to find the dealer that has the best price....

Clay at Prophet River(sponsor) has the non collapsible stock ones for $1850, good price.

DO it. I've bought/owned/sold all KINDS of shotguns before, but this one takes the cake. It is a bit heavy, but it cycles smooth and eats anything I feed it. Light 7.5 loads to 3" slugs.

It might take some time to break it in before it will cycle low power loads, but it's the teets overall.

Eotech will feel a bit 'top heavy'. I recommend T1 Micro. :) And an extended bolt handle.

If your gonna get an optic for it, go with the Aimpoint Micro.

The EOTech is really high, and you wont be able to get any cheek wield.

Using the Micro's put it just a tad higher than the iron sights (cant co-witness, so a QR mount is a good idea) and are FAR more comfortable than an EOTech would be!

Some stats:

- custom fibreglass cheek piece
- Aimpoint T1 Micro with American Defense QR low mount (can get from Brownells for 80-ish bucks)
- modified FAB Defense railed forend (with top rail cut off)
- Mesa Shell holder (double sided taped to the side! :p )

Whats the price difference between the aim point and the eotech? I already own the eotech.... So that's a consideration... If I'm looking at saving up 2k to buy this gun, extra for the aim point will take longer.

Thanks for the pics. I F***ING love this gun... I can't wait to handle one.

I bought a 590A1 (model 51517) from Milarm today. It has an 18.5" barrel and ghost sights and is so friggin SWEEET, can't wait till it arrives..

under $500, IMHO why pay 4 times the price for a benelli if you can get this bad boy!!

I don't mean to double post... But man, that right there is why I want one.... F*** they look sick!

Anyone around Petawawa that owns one that wants to let me drool on it for a minute or two?!

raptor, what's with the big button under the bolt?

......as a sequel to my previous post..

I think my other room needs a HD as well, that thing looks SAA-WEEEET

*drools*

Because it's not even 1/4 the gun that the M4Super90 is. :nest:

Seriously though - I've owned 870P's (still have a 14"), Fabarms (all kinds), Mossbergs, Norincos (TONS!), Rem 1100's, 11-87's, and the only ones I kept are the 14" 870P and the Benelli. My tactical shotgun needs are fully met with those two...

I'm sure the Mossberg will suit you just fine, but it's the difference between a Ford Topaz and a Ferarri.
