Looking for a scope for Nemesis 308.

100-400 yard engagements with small furry targets. I like the NF ATACR, and the new Vortex 4.5-27.

The ERS 3.5-21 is smaller, seems solid, and gets good reviews. Also $700-$1000 cheaper than my other preferred options. For the money, what's wrong with the bushnell?

It will get packed around in a pack a lot, and I want reliability and warranty. I haven't checked the ERS warranty yet though.

Bushnell has always had a spotty track record and piss poor customer service. A rifle of that quality should have something better on top, start with NF and go from there. S&B makes some some sweet glass. Dont buy Wal-mart tires for your Lamborghini.

Cheers!!

I've never seen what some sites are calling the higher end Bushnell optics. Just the same as run of the mill or are ey actually worth the price.

First hand anyone? I am leaning towards the ATACR or a used NXS.

As for the rifle......we'll see.......I'll believe it's a Ferrari when I've shot it a bit....haha

I think you would be more then happy with that bushnell. I have the XRS on my Sako TRG-42 and I'm very happy with it, it's very well built and the tracking and glass are excellent. You get a lot of bang for your buck with these scopes and the reviews are usually good.

If you have the means, the Nemesis and S&B 5X25X56PMll will be a natural, this rifle is whorhy of the best glass... My 0.02... JP.

I like the S&B, and could afford it, but using really want to NW that they jacked the prices recently by $600-$1000 per scope! hahaha!

I'll look into them all some more.

I looked at USO too but they are long!! And I'm trying to keep te package minimal length for transport.

DECISION MADE!

I picked up a Nightforce ATACR in MRAD/MLR, I'll,bolt it down with ATRS rings when everything shows up. (I heard a rumour the Nemesis have made it into Kanuckistan!)

I've always been a Nightforce fanatic, and I found it for under $2500, so took the plunge.

Don't try a Bushnell ERS.

There, I have tried to talk you out of it. Now, the sensible answer: If WalMart tires are all you can get, don't leave your Lamborghini sitting in the garage. Put those tires on and drive it.

LMAO! Well, I agree with that sentiment. My question arose because the ERS is not WalMart priced, so I wondered what was up. Sometimes optics (and camera) manufacturers get a new model built by another vendor and it kicks ass. I realize a lot of people like the ERS for what it is. I wasn't sure if the glass was made by Zeiss or something, I can't remember the name of the japanese company that makes a ton of good glass for cameras makers, but like them.

Lamborghini? According to Caramel yes. ;) I'll decide. I am going into the Nemesis with both eyes open. I love the concept and the design, so I'll give it a fair shake. Lots of $$$$ for a test run though so it better do it's part. :)
