Talley 1 piece or weaver/vortex pro series combo for Vanguard S1?

Looking for insight from knowledgeable people.

I have a Weatherby Vanguard S1 in 30-06. Just bought a new Burris fullfield IV 3x12-56 with 30mm tube. I need new rings as my old scope was a 1”. I had talley 1 piece but had a couple people say go with weaver 35 and 36 bases and Vortex pro series high rings instead of buying 30mm (high) talley’s?

Thoughts or suggestions?
 
Also when would one use the Talley high “extended” instead of the talley high set?
 
You'd use the extended front ring with a shorter scope to bring it closer to your face. Doubt you'll want/need an extended ring with that scope.
