I had a set of the quick release model on a Kimber rifle I had a few years back, really liked them.

Lightweight alloy since there are no sights on my M70.

I have them on my tikka as well in the one piece lights. Here's props for a great company. Stupid me marred the threads on the mounting screws by not paying attention and mixing up the ring screws with the base screws. I emailed Talley and they sent out all new screws for freee. I wanted to pay them but they wouldn't accept the money. They were just happy i bought their product. Great product and a great company.

is there really a difference in a weight with the lightweigth one ? and how is the return to zero if you remove them ...

im thinking of those for a tikka t3 but dont know if the lightweight or the quick release will be the one ??? or just a weaver base in steel or alumium and qrw ????

I got Talleys on 4 of my rifles.I like the quick detachable steel rings.Talley gave me the wrong bases part number ones but sent out the right ones free of charge!
I got my last two set of rings from Prophet River.Great service!

How well do the quick release ones return to zero?

I did a test one day at the 50 meter indoor range at TSE in Calgary. Shot five groups total with three of the 5 shot groups removing and remounting the scope between each shot. There was no appreciable difference in group size whether I left the scope alone or remounted it after every shot.

Any fine firearm really deserves a pair of these rings.

I only use Talley's...have them on Savage, Browning, Winchester, and Remington's. Nothing better.

I have Talley LWs on my two Tikkas and wouldn't trade them for anything.
