Tally 1pc lightweight question

What height TALLY 1 Piece lightweight should I use for a 1" tube with 40mm? Going on a Vanguard series 2

Medium should clear the tube but it depends on what rifle and what barrel profile it has.

Should be able to get away with lows in my experience

I mounted two vx2 3-9x40’s one on a Remington titanium and the other a tikka t3 both in extra lows. I certainly wouldn’t go higher than lows.

I've got lows on a vanguard s2 with a bushnell elite 3-9x40. Doesn't touch but close.

I used extra lows on my Rem 700s to mount Leupolds and Swarovskis with 40mm objectives.

Lows for sure will work ! and LIKELY Extra Lows will - I just mounted a Leo 3.5-10 x 40 MM on a Rem 700 with a std barrel - jmo RJ

Keep in mind that the mounts fit either way (180°) and depending upon your scope, and eye relief, how you mount it may allow more or less forward/rear ward flexibility for optimizing barrel clearance.
