Has anyone had an opportunity to examine or shoot one of these pistols yet? I'm wondering what the quality of materials and fitting would be like. The price and list of options seems ideal but if they are built out of spec then I would rather buy a Norinco.

I have googled them with no feed back.

Thanks for any first hand knowledge that can be passed on.

Do a search for Armscor, Rock Island and Charles Day. Same guns, different names.

I'm still waiting for some reviews since these babies might just provide a decent alternative to the strong-steeled Norinco 1911's.

Hey, nothing wrong with a well built price point pistol to get newer shooters into the market sooner. They must be decent if a Banner Sponsor like Freedom Ventures are gonna stick their reputation out for the Tanfoglio platforms. I realize that the principals of Freedom Ventures ain't a bunch of shooting rookies and they must have done their math... so let's see what these Witness $ 589 specials are like.

I just visited 3W.ellwoodepps.com and they have 2 of the Tanfoglio Witness .45 pistols for all of $ 549.00 runaway, runaway, runaway !!

I might even throw down for one of them, but then again, I should wait for that "slow boat" from China with more $ 329 Norinco NP29 9mm 1911's.

What's in your wallet ?

Cheers,
Barney
