Tank's Wide Action Release - 870

Never seen mention of this on here before.

Not sure how useful it would actually be.

That's what I was thinking Boltgun.

I'm wondering if it's longer as well. I kinda like how the action release on the DA Grizzlies is a bit longer. Very easy to activate.

I've e-mailed Tank's but no response yet .....
 
Yup, the Grizzly release is about twice the size, I'm spoiled.

I think a longer slide release is more advantageous than a wider one. I'm sure you could play with a few ideas though and come up with something really cool.
(Tap more into the jumbo safety type market with an extended or jumbo slide release)

An 870 type slide release design that I really like is the one on the Hatsan Escort line. Something modeled with that in mind would be awesome.
 
the 90 degree, wider and longer are all improvements especially on duty grade guns or guns that will be used with gloved/wet hands. I suspect from a manufacturing perspective, the longer, then 90 degree version would be the easiest to make with the wider one being the hardest and most expensive to make.

Agree, it doesn't have to be wider because that would require a slight trigger guard modification.

Longer and 90* would do the job nicely. Would love to see this available for the 870.
 
you would need to mod the TG regardless with a 90....longer only no. Unless one can make it in such a way to be able to wiggle the new action bar lock into place without cutting the TG.
