You'll need to know the size you need......
You will need a thread pitch gauge....take one of the scope mount screws down to the hardware store...they can check it for you....but the tap is a special and they likely won't have it
Most scope mount sizes are 6-48 or 8-40

I just mounted a scope on a T3 a few weeks ago. I swore up and down the screws were the wrong size. The screw were the right size, seems the screws that plg the holes on the T3 receiver are a plastic plug, not really a screw. So they have a bit of plastic in them, there was nothing wrong with the holes. The screws will fit, you just have to get them started.
Got the bases on.
When I arrived home from work I decided to give it another try. I screwed each screw in a few turns then backed them out. After a few tries they went all the way, the bases are now in place.
