hey guys i put a tapco intrafuse on my sks, everything went good until i got to the gast tube, when i try to re-install i cant push the lock lever down because it snags a little on the end of the tube, do you think its a good idea for me to file off the four little tabs on the bottom of the gas tube? is that what some of you guys did to make it fit? i took wood off the original tube(pain in ass) and slid it into plastic cover

I have read a number of reviews online and it seems lots of people encountered this issue and were required to do some filing to make it work.
Don't take too much off or it will be loose, then its useless if it's loose unless its only there for appearance. I had to file the tabs off mine to get it to fit right, but it had some wobble afterward. Went back to the original wooden piece.
