tapco mags

I just ordered a couple of tapco mags for the SKS, just to fool around with, I am wondering if it takes any modification to use them or is it just pop and go?

They usually need to be fitted to the rifle.

Got them from nisupply.com. They seem to be a pretty good place

Both of mine were pop in and go. I had no problem using them with the wooden stock either.

But if you're a keener, the flanges on the bolt can be ground off so the mag can be put in and out with the bolt forward.

is this place American? did you have to get it pinned to 5 rounds?

Are they duck-billed mags?Make sure you have alot of hours set aside my friend.There is alot of cleaning to do I made my Marstar SKS into this the same day I received it and it took me about 8 hours.The Magazines fit into this no problems.

basically what i'm after.. just no retailers in canada have all the parts..

parting it out to numerous retailers is wallet suicide.

if the store was state side you may not get the mags...export laws suck (when i ordered mine the wouldnt export them)

brad-8 HRS TO INSTALL TAPCO MAGS???? what was the issue? (not trying to be an ass im just curious) or did i miss understand?

i got my "duck bill" mags before the new tapco stock arrived and they fit right in...took 5 minutes to pull the box mag out....

then another 10 minutes to do the "drop free mod" (bolt forward mag drop)

then when the tapco stock came in it took 10 mins to install that and the mags still fit 100%
