Take an R-clip (Left) and transform it like the one you see on the Right


Use it to pull and detach the trigger set







See ? I have now removed the trigger set, without unscrewing the handle


All you need to do is file the interior of the handle..... make it wider.


So that the trigger set can slide in and out


you also need to file 1/8 inch that little nipple on the left side of the little spring


to give extra space for the trigger set to slide in and out


keep your modified R-clip in your handle compartment

It's possible but it's not easy and even harder to put it back in. I didn't have proper socket when installing aftermarket mag release, took me really long time to pop trigger group back in.

I just dremeled out the ridge inside the grip that impedes the trigger group from sliding out.

It was a 10 minute job about 4 years ago...

Yea, stock SKS is easy but pringles613 and I were talking about getting trigger group out and back in with Tapco stock installed. That's why OP created this post, to show a mod which allows to remove trigger group without taking pistol grip off every time. I managed to do it once with pistol grip still on but not doing it again without proper socket wrench.
