Tapco SKS stock/mags

I have mine in an Ati Stock aswell, i have 3 tapco mags, started with one till i got it to fit and cycle dummy rounds properly, then got the other two and had them done in 20 mins with a dremmel. When you smack the unmodded mag into the magwell, then all the pinch points are evident, file down and voila. The ati magwell needed some filing and dremmeling as well to make room for the wider mags, not a big issue, not worth spending the extra money on the tapco. unless you just want options..
 
yeah i had initially done some filing down of the stock itself. The mags fit just fine in the stock (width wise) it is just some pinch points on the mag itself, and the spine that needed shaving. I do like the ATI stock, its snug fitting minus the handguard on the gas tube. I wonder if the TAPCO gas tube would sit normally on the ATI stock. Would like a rail section on the top.
 
I had to modify my mags as well, my SKS is a 1950 with the tapco Intrafuse stock and both of the Tapco mags needed the same mods, see the pics below, the one on the left has been files, the one on the right hasnt and shows where the interference is happening.





On top of this, my mags didnt feed worth a crap until I modified the feed lips on both mags as well. For this I made up 5 dummy rounds and modded the lips a little bit at a time until all the rounds would cycle through from 1st to 5th round. I didnt take pics of this mod but I did find pics either here on this site or on youtube, I cant remember.
