For those of you who think you can't polish a turd, think again it can be done. At first I was skeptical about this stock thinking why is it needed will it help me in regards to ergonomics, accuracy ect ect. The only way I could shoot the SKS with any comfort was with the T6 stock which had some draw backs so I decided to try something else. The Timbersmith laminated wood stock is very well designed, it fits like a glove on both Russian and Chinese versions of the SKS. No modifications are needed, no tight spots, nothing. I do not think bedding would be required. It also incorporates the recoil lug the same as the factory stock does. The length of pull is increased from 12" to 14" over the factory stock. The accuracy is about the same for me at 100 and 200 meters with open sights and has tightened up a bit with optics. The big kicker for me was it feels so good to shoot, you are not all humped over like a monkey f*cking a football. Sure the price of the stock is the same price as the SKS, maybe a bit more depending where you buy it but if you like shooting the SKS with comfort then it is worth it.
