A couple of months ago, I got a Norwegian Krag Jorgensen sporter in 6.5x55 SE. It's in terrific shape. The weird thing is that it has a tapped hole 5-6 inches in front of the rear sight. But that's the only tapped hole. I'm wondering if anyone has come across a rifle where there is a second hole drilled under the leaf spring of the rear sight, and if that's normal. I'm hesitant to take out the leaf spring, because if its not under there, I'm not sure I'd be able to get the spring back in there.
